It’s basically the most active AoTTG community but by that there’s like 6 people (mainly the mods) who mainly talk about the same stuff as always. RRC mod is the: Ranking Rice Cake Mod which has several features including being able to display your rank, single player size and damage settings, and a bunch of other stuff that focuses on competitive settings. And there’s a friendslist but you can only add other RRC users. It’s also optimized pretty well so it’s not too bad on high settings. In short, it’s just a better RC mod without adding ridiculous stuff.

I remember people trying to implement friendlists back in 2015 i think. This forum basically started cause we were skrubs who didn't have skype and didn't know how else to keep in touch lol

At times. I don’t really speak there or aim for ranks just because of how judging tends to be based on moods at times. Some people managed to get Master + without submitting video evidence and there’s people who got blasted for poor quality, with some having to completely do everything again as one thing looked too similar like another. Example being Spirals and Hydras or Trads and Trad-bys. Don’t even get me started on Hurricanes.

I believe some modified versions of RC have this same friends list. But the first mod to have it was one that was private. Nonetheless, it's a cool feature and works as intended (because Photon's cool, I guess).

I ended up modifying it a while back and making the "Add friend" button to it.

They would work pretty well if only people didn’t change their names as often as they did. If I recall, it had to be entirely based on their names with color codes included. So if someone decides to change their color code, it wouldn’t check them as online. Though it has been a long while since I ever used a friendslist so this could have been fixed post my last experience

Your friend name isn't the same as what you see in the player list when you join a server. Photon has its own thing for friend names, and it can't parse color codes. So if you did try that it would just show

You are right about constantly changing it, though. As there is no limit to that.
